Almost 7 weeks

She's always SOOOO happy in the morning!

Oooh Iris, what a comedian. I swear she does it to make us laugh.

She loves her car seat... most of the time. Ok, well, some of the time.... OK, pretty much not at all. At least at first...

She's a big time flailer! I've been clocked a few times when I was going in for a kiss. She was playing in her baby Einstien today and I think she hit one of the hanging toys on accident because she smiled and let out a big baby laugh. No joke! Cutest thing ever--

She's getting pretty long too! Soon she'll be occupying the Queen size in her room, but I think she's eyeing our King size.

And there she is, in the King size trying it on for size!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all! Iris has been having a wonderful first Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Hatch here in town! She's even decided to start showing off her killer smile to everyone for the holidays! Though we are having a wonderful time, Iris does miss not being able to see all of her cousins, auntie's, uncles, and other grandparental (and great grandparental) units! We are sure. Lord willing, that there will be many more opportunaties for that to come in the future!
We hope you all are having a blessed and memorable Christmas day wherever you are and whomever you are enjoying it with. We love and miss all of you!

12-8-07

Ok, here's the current stat's for the little one: She's gained weight! She is currently 6 lbs. 5 oz. Her cheeks are slowly beginning to rest on her chest, and her belly is filling out quite nicely!
We think that she is starting to slowly figure out smiling. We can't totally tell just yet whether she's just making faces or if she is actually responding to us. Seems like a little of both sometimes.
She's been sleeping fairly well through the nights and is rarely fussy for the sake of being fussy. Usually when she is fussy it's because of a disturbance in here southerly regions... you know what I mean:) But when all is well, she just loves to stare at the picture of a rabbit in her "Baby Einstien". I wasn't sure if she was just zoning out or actually looking at the picture, so I moved the picture and she followed it! She was pretty intense about studying it-- I left her there for a couple minutes, came back and there she was, just enjoying the picture of the bunny. Kinda wish I could crawl in her mind to hear what her thoughts are at times like that. Anyone have any ideas?
